Babysitting Guidance:

It is important that you are contactable and that your sitter has been given full and precise details of what to do should the children/baby wake up or in an emergency. When booking a one-off babysitter we recommend the following:

1. Introduce your sitter to your child as they will be happier if they wake in the night to see a recognisable face.

2. Supply your sitter with emergency contact information your home address, your mobile numbers, details of where you are going and how to contact you. If you have any smoke/fire alarms, Intrusion alarm, Fire extinguishers, First Aid box or Fire Exits in the property, please provide the details to the babysitter.

3. Provide your sitter with some brief details about your children, ie what to do if they wake up/need a bottle/need the toilet/are unwell. If your children are not already in bed, leave the sitter details of the bedtime routine and lights out.

4. If you are home early always pay your sitter the agreed rate. If you are late always pay over to the nearest 15 minutes.

5. If your sitter does not drive please ensure they are able to get home safely and call a taxi (at the babysitters expense) if requested.
