The position required: Nanny
Location: Shaldon, Devon
Position start date: 13/03/2025 Flexible start date
Requirements: Part-time nanny
Duties: Nursery duties, Trips and outings, Driving children
Nanny responsibility: The nanny will have sole charge
Preferred nanny attributes: Childcare qualifications, Ofsted registration, Childcare experience, DBS, Paediatric first aid training, Outdoorsy, Sporty, Cooking skills

Nanny duties and expectations
Mondays – look after both children, giving them opportunities to spend time at home and locally around the village, we live close to the beach and would like the children to have the freedom and time to do what they want before they go to a more structured school environment.

Thursdays – pick up our son from play school, have some one-on-one time with him to decompress from the day,

Days and hours required
Days of work: Monday, Thursday
Monday: 9am to 6pm
Thursday: 2.45pm to 5.45pm

Variation in hours: The hours remain the same all year round

The children

Child 1 is a: Boy Age: 3
Child 1 attends: Attends pre-School
Further details about child 1: He is a happy little boy that loves stories, he spends 2 days a week at forest school and 2 days a week at the local preschool. He loves working out how things work, reversing tractors and trailers and spending time on the beach and on a boat.

Child 2 is a: Girl Age: 1 (soon to be 2)
Child 2 attends: Attends Nursery
Further details: She likes to laugh, she wants to keep up with her big brother and is very adventurous. She can be really caring and likes her dollies and her monkey (nana) and will be really considerate to other children when they are upset. But ultimately a mischief.

Further details: We live close to the sea, and one of the reasons we want a nanny is for our children to be able to spend more time at home, and in the local area going to the beach, getting bread from the bakers going on the ferry etc. They have both been in nursery from a really young age and I believe it is important that if we can they can have some more time in their own surroundings.

Salary offered: £15-£18 gross per hour

The ideal candidate will meet the requirements set out above and be a qualified or experienced childcare professional with the necessary age-related experience, qualifications, and excellent references.
