The position required: Flexi/Occasional Nanny
Location: Stoke Gabriel, Devon
Position start date: 20/01/2025 Flexible start date
Requirements: Part-time nanny
Duties: Nursery duties, Cooking meals
Nanny responsibility: The nanny will have a mixture of sole and shared charge
Preferred nanny attributes: Childcare qualifications, Ofsted registration, Childcare experience, DBS, Paediatric first aid training, Cooking skills, Able to support studies/homework

Nanny duties and expectations
We both work full time, partly in London, partly at home. Ideally we’d like someone to collect our 6 (nearly 7) year old from school, help with homework and play and prepare food. Our youngest daughter is at a local nursery, it may be helpful for nanny to also collect her, but that is not essential. We would also be looking for occasional babysitting or overnight help. Whilst we are only looking for 3 days at the moment, that may increase and we want it to be a long term working relationship.

Days of work: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Monday: 3-6pm
Tuesday: 3-6pm
Thursday: 3-6pm

Variation in hours: The hours change during school holidays

Further details about child 1: Likes sport especially swimming, gymnastics and dancing. Enjoys being outdoors, playing with friends or on the beach. Is very good at reading and enjoys books. Loves art and crafts. Is very friendly and confident, and can be sensitive.

Further details: Is very chilled out and happy, loves food and has a very healthy appetite. Likes animals and loves playing with books and role play toys. Very independent and can settle herself, doesn’t love lots of cuddles but is very friendly.

Parenting style: Open, honest, we talk things through and work with the child to identify their feelings and express them in a healthy way. We don’t like a lot of screen time, but do allow some.

Further details: Our house was a B&B so is a generous size, with 5 bedrooms (another 3 have been turned into home offices and a gym), a kitchen, diner with sitting area and a separate lounge and conservatory. It is arranged over three floors with views across Stoke Gabriel and the River Dart.

Details: Two 10 year old cats, Emily and Nelson.
