WHAT IS A HOLIDAY NANNY AND HOLIDAY BABYSITTING SERVICE?
A Holiday nanny and Holiday babysitter will provide professional sole charge childcare on the premises of a Holiday let for your children whilst you enjoy a break, a meal out, a child-free day…

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK A HOLIDAY NANNY OR BABYSITTER?
Please book your Holiday childcare as soon as you have confirmed your stay in order to guarantee availability.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM BOOKING PERIOD FOR A HOLIDAY NANNY OR HOLIDAY BABYSITTER?
The minimum booking period is charged at 4 hours however, you need to pay your holiday nanny or holiday babysitter for the agreed period within your booking form.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS?
The breakdown of costs are as follows:
The agency booking fee + the nanny’s hourly rate (£14.50 – £16.50 gph) + additional fuel costs (Typically £10) if we don’t have someone local (common in Cornwall and North Devon).

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
Simply complete our cancel booking form.
The agency booking fee is non-refundable but is transferable to a date in the same week subject to availability. One hour will be charged by your Holiday nanny or babysitter if cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
If your Holiday nanny or Holiday babysitter cancels the booking you will be provided with a replacement or, if no replacement is available, you will be refunded in full.

HOW DO I BOOK A HOLIDAY NANNY OR BABYSITTER?
Booking is simple, just complete our Holiday nanny booking form or Holiday babysitting booking form and we will guide you through the next steps.

IS MY HOLIDAY NANNY/BABYSITTER QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED?
All Holiday nannies are qualified in childcare and teaching and/or highly experienced professionals who have been fully security and reference checked by the agency hold a DBS Enhanced Disclosure for complete peace of mind.

CAN I MEET MY HOLIDAY NANNY OR HOLIDAY BABYSITTER IN ADVANCE OF THE BOOKING?
Due to the high demand for Holiday childcare, it is not possible to meet your Holiday nanny in advance unless you have specific circumstances such as a child with additional needs or have an extended Holiday stay booked. Advanced meetings will be charged (poa)

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HOLIDAY NANNY AND A HOLIDAY BABYSITTER? 
You will receive the same quality of service and calibre of nanny regardless of which booking you make. Generally, a Holiday nanny will care for your children during the day, often using the Holiday facilities suitable for children, playing outside and in the Holiday let. A Holiday babysitter will offer evening childcare and can assist with the children’s supper supervision, reading bedtime stories and ensuring they are nestled in their beds until your return.

WHERE WILL MY HOLIDAY BABYSITTER SIT?
Your Holiday babysitter can sit in the same room or an adjoining room, usually with a lamp of low light. Depending on the actual accommodation, your holiday babysitter will use any communal space available within a safe listening distance.

CAN WE SHARE A HOLIDAY NANNY OR HOLIDAY BABYSITTER?
Yes! Providing the children are all located in one space. We need to adhere to our staffing ratio policy at all times to ensure complete safety so make sure you have listed all children and ages to be cared for on your booking form. If you add children at the start of the booking, the Holiday nanny or Holiday babysitter will refuse the booking.

I WOULD LIKE THE HOLIDAY NANNY TO TAKE MY CHILDREN OUT OF THE HOLIDAY GROUNDS  – IS THIS POSSIBLE?
Absolutely! Our Holiday nannies can take your children out to local attractions with your permission. Your booking is entirely bespoke so do let us know if you have any special requirements.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER?
The Parent & Child Nanny Agency provides Holiday childcare services to Holidays in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

DOES MY HOLIDAY LET ALLOW HOLIDAY NANNY AND BABYSITTING SERVICES?
Most venues do allow Holidays nannies and babysitters, just ask your Hosts. If your Holiday let is unfamiliar with this sort of service, please ask them to contact us so we can provide further information.

WHAT ABOUT COVID-19
The Parent & Child Nanny Agency ensures all nannies are following government guidelines and taking additional precautions to prevent the spread or contamination of covid-19. Holiday nannies and babysitters will have clean clothes, hand sanitiser and wear a face shield or face mask if required and will follow social distancing measures.
