The position required: Nanny/Housekeeper
Location: Penzance, Cornwall
Position start date: 07/09/2026, Flexible by a few weeks
Requirements: Part-time Nanny/Housekeeper
Duties: Cooking meals, Trips and outings, taking to extra-curricular clubs, Driving children, General tidying, Laundry and ironing, Light housekeeping, Grocery shopping
Nanny responsibility: The nanny will have a mixture of sole and shared charge
Preferred nanny attributes: Childcare experience, DBS, Paediatric first aid training, Driver, Animal lover, Outdoorsy, Sporty, Swimmer, Creative, Cooking skills, Non-smoker

Nanny duties and expectations
Busy, relaxed professional household with two parents, two boys and pets. Both parents work from the home office as well as abroad. Extended family live nearby and help with childcare. Looking for help with all aspects of running the household – from general daily cleaning, occasional deep cleans and laundry, to some food preparation and cooking, some plant care and childcare including transporting boys to activities. Keeping on top of the mud, dog hair, kitchen and laundry is a major part of the role.

Further details: Friendly, relaxed and bright. Loves surfing, skateboarding, scuba diving. Great with peers and animals, very social. Pretty self-sufficient and organises himself well. Eats constantly.

Further details: Old granite farm house attached to a small farm. Will be undergoing renovations in 2027/28. Family are relocating from abroad so house is not yet fully organised but is fully furnished.

Details: 2 geriatric cats, and we look after my sister’s 2 rescue dogs some days – German Shepherd and a Pointer – as her cottage is very small.

Details: Two maternal grandparents stay quite often and will look after boys when parents travel for work – they are very easy going, social and helpful in the house and on the farm.

Salary and perks
Salary offered: £14-17 ph
Membership perks: Lovely rural environment, use of own allotment, share of homegrown food and flowers, some flexibility with hours, friendly pets allowed.
Car use: A car is provided for work use only
Further Details: The family have a small farm attached to the property. The successful applicant will be welcome to a share of the farm produce – currently fruit, vegetables and flowers and sometimes honey. If the successful applicant has cat/dog/human-friendly dogs they are welcome to bring them to work and to exercise them on the farm.

The ideal candidate will meet the requirements set out above and be a qualified or experienced childcare professional with the necessary age-related experience, qualifications, and excellent references.
