The position required: Nanny
Location: Lympstone, Devon
Position start date: 14/07/2025 Flexible start date
Requirements: Permanent nanny
Duties: Cooking meals, Trips and outings, Taking to play/toddler groups, Driving children,  tidying, Light housekeeping
Nanny responsibility: The nanny will have sole charge
Preferred nanny attributes: Childcare qualifications,  registration, Childcare experience, DBS, Paediatric first aid training, Driver, Outdoorsy, Cooking skills

Nanny duties and expectations
The nanny would be required to prepare and serve / supervise delicious and nutritious meals. If they can menu plan I can add ingredients to our weekly shop so that everything is here ready to be cooked. I usually do meal preparation with my eldest daughter whilst my youngest daughter has a two-hour lunchtime nap.
I’d expect the nanny to be able to finish off getting the kids ready for the day and then do activities with them such as going to the park, playgroup in the village on a Friday morning, toddler pool and/or soft play at David Lloyd, mud club, beach etc. I usually give the kids lunch at 1130am and then whilst the youngest naps from 1230-230.00 the eldest has quiet time in her room 1-2pm and helps with household chores/cooking/tidying etc and either side of her quiet time. I like her to feel involved in the usual household tasks, eg she has her own cloths and spray bottles to wipe down her highchair after meals.
In the afternoon it’d be similar – either out for an activity or playing at home. Supper is usually at 5pm and then I’d take over again at 6pm when they go up for their bath.
I try to have lots of fun with the girls and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I would be happy for the nanny to take the kids out for meals, which we do regularly.

Further details: She is just on the brink of walking, she loves her big sister and follows her about copying everything she does. She’s very ticklish and very cuddly.
