Nanny/Housekeeping
What to expect in a nanny/housekeeper, housekeeping and house management role.
A nanny/housekeeper is a dual-role position that goes beyond the responsibilities of a standard professional nanny. While still offering attentive and age-appropriate care for children, particularly before and after school hours, this role also includes a broader range of domestic duties related to the overall management and upkeep of the household. Typical tasks may include general cleaning, laundry for the entire family, ironing, running errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and organising the home. This role is especially suited to families with school-aged children who require less intensive childcare during the day but benefit from practical support in maintaining an organised, well-run household. A nanny/housekeeper is expected to balance their time effectively between childcare responsibilities and house management tasks, offering flexibility, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach to supporting the family’s needs as a whole.
