The position required: Nanny
Location: Honiton, Devon
Position start date: 01/01/2026 No flexibility
Requirements: Part-time nanny
Duties: Cooking meals, Taking to play/toddler groups, Driving children, General tidying, Laundry and ironing
Nanny responsibility: The nanny will have sole charge
Preferred nanny attributes: Childcare qualifications, Childcare experience, DBS, Paediatric first aid training, Driver

Nanny duties and expectations
We are looking for a nanny to look after our 8-month-old daughter on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If Wednesdays were not possible, we could make it work with just Tuesdays. Our son is 3 and attends nursery on these days but we would like a nanny to be available on these days to collect him if he were sick etc as both parents are working.

Generally just looking after our daughter in our home and out and about. It is a big house with plenty of room. Our daughter is very easy going and smiley. She enjoys being outside, is a good eater and sleeps well in a cot. We would expect a nanny to tidy the children’s things, prepare some children’s food and maybe do some of the children’s laundry.

Days and hours required
Days of work: Tuesday, Wednesday
Tuesday: 7:30am to 6:30pm
Wednesday: 7:30am to 6:30pm Either just Tuesday, or Tuesday and Wednesday. Optional earlier finish time if preferred.

Variation in hours: The hours remain the same all year round

Further Details: Option to do further work (babysitting in evenings and some weekends – not a requirement though), and from September, we would be looking for extra help in the school holidays, but again, not a requirement.

The ideal candidate will meet the requirements set out above and be a qualified or experienced childcare professional with the necessary age-related experience, qualifications, and excellent references.
